The design is influenced by the first hi-resolution images taken by the Daniel K Inouye telescope on Hawaii's island of Maui showing the caramel corn-like Sun's surface as well as by the Parker Solar Probe and Solar Orbiter craft launched in 2018 and 2020 respectively. See blog post here
